4M Lawn Care

A 4-week migration focused on speed, SEO readiness, and a stronger foundation for local lawn care growth.

Web-Development

We rebuilt 4M Lawn Care from a limited Wix site into a high-performance Next.js lead-generation website

A 4-week migration focused on speed, SEO readiness, and a stronger foundation for local lawn care growth.

We took 4M Lawn Care off Wix and rebuilt their website as a modern Next.js application designed to support local service discovery and quote-driven conversions. The finished site launched with a near-perfect technical audit profile, giving the business full code ownership, dramatically better performance, and a scalable platform for future SEO and marketing.

Challenges

What stood in the way

4 problems, and what each one took to clear.

Challenge 01

  1. Problem

Wix limited performance and created unnecessary front-end weight

The previous Wix site was constrained by proprietary tooling, heavier JavaScript delivery, and limited control over how assets and templates were rendered. That made it difficult to achieve elite page-speed benchmarks or fine-tune the experience for mobile visitors.

  2. Solution

We rebuilt the site in Next.js, using route-based code splitting, optimized asset delivery, and a leaner front-end architecture to reduce overhead and improve rendering efficiency.

  3. Result

The new site launched with a measured Lighthouse Performance score of 98/100.

Challenge 02

  1. Problem

The old platform offered weak SEO control for a local service business

4M Lawn Care needed a website that could support local search visibility, but Wix limited flexibility around server-side rendering, structured metadata control, and a clean technical SEO foundation. The existing site also lacked the on-page signals needed to help search engines understand the business.

  2. Solution

We migrated the website to Next.js so we could implement a more search-friendly architecture with server-rendered pages, cleaner markup, crawlable page structure, and stronger metadata control.

  3. Result

The rebuilt site achieved a measured Lighthouse SEO score of 100/100 and established a far stronger base for indexing and future content expansion.

Challenge 03

  1. Problem

The business had no code ownership and was locked into a proprietary system

On Wix, the client was tied to a closed platform with limited portability, restricted custom logic, and reduced flexibility for future integrations or growth initiatives.

  2. Solution

We moved the project to a custom Next.js codebase, giving the client a modern application architecture with full ownership, extensibility, and room for future API integrations or custom lead workflows.

  3. Result

4M Lawn Care now has a scalable website foundation that supports long-term growth instead of platform lock-in.

Challenge 04

  1. Problem

The original site lacked clear content and conversion signals

The source site provided virtually no visible content structure, no meaningful headings, and no strong lead-generation cues for visitors looking for lawn care or landscaping services.

  2. Solution

We restructured the experience around service clarity, trust-building content, and lead-focused calls to action such as quote requests, service exploration, and contact pathways.

  3. Result

The new site now supports the business's primary goal: generating local service inquiries instead of acting as a placeholder brochure.

Strategy

How the work ran

4 phases, in the order they happened.

  1. Phase 01

    Platform audit and migration planning

We began by auditing the limitations of the previous Wix setup, identifying performance bottlenecks, SEO gaps, and structural constraints that were holding the site back. From there, we mapped a clean migration path into a custom Next.js build.

    • Wix limitations assessment
    • Migration roadmap
    • Page architecture plan
    • Technical requirements definition
  2. Phase 02

    Content and conversion restructuring

We reframed the site around how local lawn care customers actually search and buy: clear services, trust signals, and direct quote-oriented calls to action. This phase focused on turning an empty digital presence into a lead-generation asset.

    • Homepage messaging framework
    • Service-led content structure
    • CTA strategy
    • Lead flow planning
  3. Phase 03

    Custom Next.js development

We built the site as a modern Next.js application, prioritizing fast rendering, clean component architecture, and a lightweight front-end that would outperform the previous platform.

    • Next.js application build
    • React component system
    • Responsive page templates
    • Optimized routing structure
  4. Phase 04

    Technical SEO and quality optimization

Before launch, we refined the technical foundation to ensure the new site was search-friendly, accessible, and production-ready. We focused on the measurable factors that directly impact discoverability and user experience.

    • Metadata implementation
    • Accessibility improvements
    • Performance optimization
    • Technical QA and live audit testing
