Gunning Homes
A custom Next.js site for the sales team behind four new-construction communities in Madeira, Ohio and Newport, Kentucky, with 100/100 Lighthouse SEO, accessibility, and best practices.
Web-Development
We rebuilt Gunning Homes from a limited Wix site into a high-performance real estate website.
A 4-week Next.js migration that delivered 99/100 performance and 100/100 SEO, accessibility, and best practices.
Gunning Homes needed more than a basic web presence. We migrated their existing Wix site to a custom Next.js build, giving them full code ownership, stronger technical SEO foundations, and a faster, more scalable platform tailored for a modern real estate brand.

Challenges
What stood in the way
4 problems, and what each one took to clear.
Challenge 01
Problem
Wix limited performance and technical control
Their previous Wix site was constrained by proprietary infrastructure, heavy JavaScript bundles of roughly 3-5MB, and limited control over how assets, rendering, and scripts were delivered. That made it difficult to create a fast, polished experience for prospective buyers and sellers.
Solution
We rebuilt the site in Next.js with route-based code splitting, optimized asset delivery, and a leaner frontend architecture designed for speed from the start.
Result
The completed site achieved a measured Lighthouse Performance score of 99/100.
Challenge 02
Problem
The old site had weak SEO foundations
The site analysis showed no meaningful content structure, no headings, no visible content blocks, and no meta description. Combined with Wix's limited server-side rendering flexibility, search engines had very little context to index.
Solution
We restructured the site around a proper homepage hierarchy, clear content sections, crawlable page architecture, and metadata-ready templates in Next.js using SSR/SSG-friendly patterns.
Result
The new build launched with a measured Lighthouse SEO score of 100/100 and a stronger technical base for future indexing.
Challenge 03
Problem
Vendor lock-in restricted long-term flexibility
On Wix, the client had no true code ownership, limited API integration options, and dependence on a proprietary hosting ecosystem. That made future customization and business-specific functionality harder to implement.
Solution
We migrated Gunning Homes to a custom Next.js codebase, giving the client a modern framework with flexible deployment options, custom server logic via API routes, and freedom to scale beyond template constraints.
Result
Gunning Homes moved from a locked platform to a scalable custom application with full ownership and extensibility.
Challenge 04
Problem
The previous experience did not support trust-building
For a real estate brand, credibility matters. The original site lacked the content depth, trust signals, and structured user journey needed to guide visitors toward inquiries, listings, or contact actions.
Solution
We designed a clearer information architecture with room for service messaging, featured properties or recent work, testimonials, and contact pathways tailored to how real estate prospects evaluate providers.
Result
The finished site gave Gunning Homes a professional digital foundation built to support trust, discovery, and lead generation.
