In 6 weeks, we migrated 33 pages to a modern architecture and launched with elite Lighthouse scores across performance, SEO, accessibility, and best practices.
Hometown Mortgage needed more than a visual refresh—they needed ownership, speed, and a foundation that could actually support growth. We replaced their legacy Wix setup with a custom Next.js build that delivered measurable technical gains, stronger SEO readiness, and a far more credible digital experience for a real estate-focused brand.

Challenges
What stood in the way
4 problems, and what each one took to clear.
Challenge 01
Problem
Wix limited performance and created unnecessary front-end weight
The previous Wix site was constrained by heavy JavaScript bundles in the ~3–5MB range, which made it difficult to achieve strong performance scores or deliver a fast first impression.
Solution
We rebuilt the site in Next.js with route-based code splitting, optimized asset delivery, and a leaner rendering strategy that removed the overhead of a proprietary page-builder stack.
Result
The new site launched with a measured Lighthouse Performance score of 99/100 and a noticeably stronger technical foundation.
Challenge 02
Problem
The client had no real code ownership on Wix
Their previous platform locked the business into a proprietary ecosystem, limiting flexibility, making future development harder, and tying core site operations to vendor-controlled tooling.
Solution
We migrated the entire experience to a custom Next.js application, giving the client a portable, maintainable codebase and full control over future enhancements.
Result
Hometown Mortgage moved from platform dependency to a scalable architecture built for long-term ownership and iteration.
Challenge 03
Problem
SEO control was too limited for a growth-focused local brand
Wix restricted deeper technical SEO implementation, and the existing site lacked meaningful rendered content, descriptive metadata, and a structure that search engines could clearly interpret.
Solution
We implemented a search-friendly page structure, semantic markup, clean metadata patterns, and server-rendered delivery through Next.js to improve crawlability and content accessibility.
Result
The rebuilt site launched with a measured Lighthouse SEO score of 100/100 and a much stronger foundation for future indexing and rankings.
Challenge 04
Problem
The old site did not communicate trust or conversion intent
The existing experience appeared minimally rendered and failed to explain the brand's value proposition, services, or next steps for prospective buyers and sellers.
Solution
We restructured the site around clear messaging, service pathways, trust-building sections, and stronger calls to action tailored to real estate assistance and consultation.
Result
The new experience positioned the brand more credibly and created a clearer path from first visit to inquiry.
Strategy
How the work ran

- Homepage content framework
- Service-page structure
- CTA and trust-signal placement
Phase 03
Custom Next.js development
We built the new site as a modern Next.js application using component-based architecture, server-side rendering strategies, and performance-conscious front-end patterns.
- Custom Next.js build
- Reusable React components
- Responsive page templates
- Performance-optimized asset loading
Phase 04
Technical SEO and quality assurance
We implemented semantic structure, metadata controls, accessibility improvements, and best-practice standards, then validated the build through live Lighthouse auditing before launch.
