Web-Development

MDG

In 8 weeks, we rebuilt an 8-page Wix site as a 26-page Next.js site, and gave 17 of MDG's properties a page of their own for the first time. It launched at 96 for performance on Lighthouse desktop, and 100 for best practices, SEO, and accessibility.

Web-Development

We rebuilt MDG from a constrained Wix site into a high-performance Next.js platform

In 8 weeks, we migrated 59 pages, modernized the experience, and delivered a 96/100 performance score and 100/100 best practices.

MDG came to us with an existing Wix website that limited speed, SEO control, and long-term flexibility. We rebuilt the site in Next.js, restructured the content architecture, and delivered a significantly stronger technical foundation designed for faster load times, better discoverability, and easier growth.

Challenges

What stood in the way

4 problems, and what each one took to clear.

Challenge 01

  1. Problem

Wix limited performance and created unnecessary front-end weight

MDG's previous Wix site was constrained by heavy JavaScript bundles, platform overhead, and limited control over how assets were loaded. That made it harder to achieve the fast, polished experience the brand needed.

  2. Solution

We rebuilt the site in Next.js with route-based code splitting, optimized asset delivery, and a leaner front-end architecture tailored to the actual content and user journeys.

  3. Result

The new site launched with a measured Lighthouse Performance score of 96/100.

Challenge 02

  1. Problem

The old platform restricted SEO control

Wix made it difficult to fully control technical SEO fundamentals such as rendering strategy, metadata implementation, crawlability, and scalable page-level optimization across a larger site.

  2. Solution

We migrated MDG to a server-rendered and statically generated Next.js architecture, giving us precise control over metadata, page structure, internal linking, and search-friendly output.

  3. Result

The rebuilt site achieved a measured Lighthouse SEO score of 100/100 and established a stronger foundation for future indexing.

Challenge 03

  1. Problem

Vendor lock-in limited ownership and future flexibility

On Wix, MDG was tied to a proprietary ecosystem with limited code ownership, restricted hosting flexibility, and fewer options for custom integrations or future expansion.

  2. Solution

We moved the site to a custom Next.js codebase, giving MDG a portable, extensible platform with full development control and room for future API integrations or custom logic.

  3. Result

MDG now has a scalable custom website architecture that supports growth beyond the constraints of a template-driven builder.

Challenge 04

  1. Problem

The existing site lacked a strong conversion and content framework

The previous experience showed signs of weak content structure, limited messaging clarity, and underdeveloped calls to action, which made it harder to turn traffic into enquiries.

  2. Solution

We reworked the information architecture, planned clearer page structures, and rebuilt the site around service discovery, credibility signals, and stronger lead-generation pathways.

  3. Result

The new platform gave MDG a much more structured foundation for content marketing, lead capture, and future CRO work.

Strategy

How the work ran

5 phases, in the order they happened.

  1. Phase 01

    Platform audit and migration planning

We started by auditing the Wix build, identifying technical constraints, and mapping the full 59-page migration path into a more scalable Next.js architecture.

    • Wix platform limitation audit
    • 59-page migration plan
    • URL and page inventory
    • technical rebuild roadmap
  2. Phase 02

    Information architecture and content restructuring

We reviewed the site's weak content signals and rebuilt the page framework around clearer hierarchy, stronger messaging, and better user flow.

    • Revised page structure
    • content hierarchy recommendations
    • CTA strategy
    • service and conversion page planning
  3. Phase 03

    Custom Next.js development

We developed the new site as a custom Next.js application, replacing builder limitations with a faster, more maintainable front-end.

    • Next.js application build
    • React component system
    • responsive templates
    • optimized routing and rendering
  4. Phase 04

    Performance, accessibility, and SEO implementation

Once the build was in place, we focused on technical quality: performance tuning, accessibility improvements, and on-page SEO readiness.

    • performance optimization
    • metadata implementation
    • accessibility enhancements
    • technical SEO setup
  5. Phase 05

    QA, launch, and post-launch validation

Before launch, we tested the site across devices and validated the live build with Lighthouse to ensure the migration delivered measurable quality improvements.

    • cross-device QA
    • launch support
    • live Lighthouse validation
    • post-launch technical review
